MEET MARIA BAGLEY

2022 HENRICO CHRISTMAS MOTHER

Maria Vidal Bagley’s life-long commitment to community service is rooted in her desire to give back to the community which supported her family when they arrived in the United States as Cuban refugees in 1962, when Maria was just 6 months old.

Maria has lived in Henrico County since she was in second grade and graduated from Hermitage High School in 1980. She attended VCU and The Braxton School of Business. She works at NewMarket Corporation as the Corporate Executive Assistant to the CEO. She is also active in her church and volunteers with a number of community organizations.

Since 2014, Maria has used her Spanish language skills to help Henrico Christmas Mother’s Spanish-speaking clients navigate the application process.

When she does have some free time, Maria likes to sing, read, travel, take walks with her husband Sam and puppy Molly, and spend time with family and friends.

 DONATE TODAY

Henrico Christmas Mother volunteers shop year round to ensure our warehouse is well stocked for our clients in December. Your support helps further a tradition of neighbors helping neighbors that began in 1942.

Learn more about our program in this 2021 Henrico County Podcast conversation with Victoria Davis and Kristin Smith.

Since 1942, Henrico Christmas Mother has provided food, new clothing, books, toys and other gift items to Henrico families with children, seniors age 65+, and disabled adults during the holiday season. Our volunteer Council Members work year round to ensure each program recipient enjoys a shopping experience characterized by choice and diginity.
